Mark originally hails from a very small town in Massachusetts.  The population is only 1,500, but it's almost the size of Los Angeles...can you imagine!  Mark has been studying acting since the age of 16 and started commuting over 90 miles to begin taking classes in Boston, MA and Hartford, CT at the age of 17.  He won the high school drama award his senior year at the age of 18.  Mark continued to study acting in college at the University of Massachusetts while simultaneously studying the technical side of the business, learning camera, audio, editing, chyron, directing, and producing.  Mark also worked at two television stations in Massachusetts, WCVX on Cape Cod while in college, and ABC affiliate WGGB in Springfield after college.  Then about a year later made the move to Hollywood to pursue acting.

After moving to Los Angeles, Mark worked in the entertainment business almost immediately working as an Executive Assistant for over ten years to several Presidents and Vice Presidents at most of the major studios, including 20th Century Fox, Paramount, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros, MGM, and Turner Broadcasting (Cartoon Network, TBS, and TNT).

In the mid 1990's, Mark had a lucky break in having the great opportunity to be Personal Assistant to movie legend Faye Dunaway for about a year, learning so much about the acting and the business side of Hollywood, and ended up in a People Magazine article about Faye and her career.  Ms. Dunaway actually helped Mark get his SAG card by getting him a part in her movie Dunston Checks In!

After joining SAG-AFTRA, Mark took that opportunity to enhance his studies and continues to attend acting and casting seminars offered there to continue to learn and grow as an actor and to get in front of top casting directors.  Through SAG-AFTRA's affiliation with AFI , Mark was cast as the lead in an AFI short film called C-Day.  He was also lucky enough to be in a sketch-comedy troupe called Soapbox for awhile, not only performing but also writing sketches.  Mark has also been taking vocal lessons over the years as well, and continues to study with one of the top Vocal Coaches in Los Angeles, Dr. Karen Jennings. This eventually lead him to working with a music producer/composer.  Writing and arranging the vocals for each track, Mark recorded a three-track EP (check out his Song Demo for a sample).

Over years of hard work, Mark has reached a level to be able to study with top working actors like Richard Kline, Geoffrey Blake, and David Dean Bottrell.  And now, Mark has the amazing good fortune to be studying with legendary Emmy Award winner Lindsay Wagner as his coach and mentor.

Just recently, Mark filmed a commercial for Stanley Steemer playing Julius Caesar!
